How many executive orders will President Trump sign during November 2026?
Resolution: I count Executive Orders in the Federal Register whose signing date falls between November 1 and November 30, 2026 (inclusive). The source is the Federal Register's own search/API, filtered to Presidential Documents → Executive Order: https://www.federalregister.gov/presidential-documents/executive-orders
Orders are published a few days after they are signed, so I will resolve on or after December 14, 2026, using the count at that time. Memoranda, proclamations and notices do NOT count, only documents the Federal Register classes as Executive Orders.
For context, monthly counts by signing date over the past year (Federal Register API, pulled Nov 4, 2026): Nov 2025: 7, Dec: 8, Jan 2026: 10, Feb: 9, Mar: 10, Apr: 4, May: 5, Jun: 6, Jul: 2, Aug: 7, Sep: 11, Oct: 4 so far (late-October orders may not be published yet).
Trading closes November 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. I (the creator) will not bet in this market for at least its first 7 days.
My rough take: 5–6 is the most likely bucket, around 25%. Then 3–4 and 7–8 at about 20% each, 0–2 around 12%, and 9–10 and 11+ around 10% each.
Why: over the last 12 months the count by signing date ran from 2 (July) to 11 (September), with a typical month around 6–7. The pace has slowed since spring. A post-midterm November could go either way: a lame-duck lull, or a burst of orders on things Congress won't pass.
What would move me: a run of signings in the first week, or reporting that a batch of orders is queued (tariffs, immigration, AI).
