Resolution criteria
This market will resolve to YES if there is public evidence that Daniel Lord (known online as "Hiding In My Room" or HIMR) owns or leases a Tesla vehicle on January 1, 2027. Otherwise, this market will resolve to NO.
Ownership definition: "Ownership" includes active personal leases, PCP finance agreements, or outright ownership in his name.
Trading/Upgrading: If he sells or trades his current Tesla but acquires another Tesla before January 1, 2027, the market resolves to YES. If he replaces it with a non-Tesla vehicle, it resolves to NO.
Primary Sources: Resolution will be verified using:
His official YouTube channel: Hiding In My Room
Community-led tracking on the subreddits r/HIMRFAM and r/HIMRFAM2.
The unofficial Discord server of which Daniel is a member.
Edge Cases: If Daniel has gone entirely silent and there is no video, stream, or social media update confirming his vehicle status for over 30 days leading up to January 1, 2027, the market will resolve based on the consensus of the r/HIMRFAM2 community or at the market creator's discretion using the best available evidence.
Background
Daniel Lord is an English-Malaysian YouTuber who vlogs about his lifestyle, travels, relationships, and financial struggles. In mid-2026, Daniel acquired a Tesla (Model Y), adding to his personal debt. Given his history of impulsive purchases, volatile finances, and frequently trading in or selling his vehicles, traders are predicting whether he will maintain ownership of his Tesla through the end of 2026.
