i don't really trust these CPAs.
i dunno "knowledge in chinese for accounting" sounds pretty good

i could go to my mom's CPA i guess
maybe they will take pity on me and give me a discount

# Complications

Here's a real document i had to send to California to use their health insurance marketplace:

> To Whom it May Concern,
> I am providing this affidavit to verify my income as I have no other income documentation available to me
> I currently receive $0 monthly. My pervious income was $6666,67 biweekly. I last received this amount on 1/15/2025

only when i submitted this document did they give send me my 2024 tax return. i think.
basically, i spent so long in new york that they thought i was evading the california income tax.

but the embarrassing truth was that in 2025
- was a pre-revenue founder
- slacked off and spent all day on twitter
- dealt with some mental health issues
- did a lot of childcare

none of those made any money.

i think it's sweet even the California Franchise Tax Board was worried about me
(or uh, about my money)
