Netflix is currently producing The Altruists, a television series about the collapse of FTX, with the main characters being Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) and Caroline Ellison.
Caroline Ellison had a blog, worldoptimization.tumblr.com (archived here), in which she frequently talked about her love for Alexander Wales' book series Worth the Candle and specifically mentioned the character of Amaryllis Penndraig as a role model:
mm okay so I love Amaryllis, to the point where a lot of my current personality is based on her, but also she’is frustratingly Mary-Sueish and perfect and I really wish she sucked just a bit more.
me: Amaryllis Penndraig is my greatest inspiration and primary role model
This question will resolve N/A if the show is canceled or otherwise unwatchable.
This question resolves YES if proof of a clear reference to Worth The Candle within the show is screenshotted and put in a comment under this manifold question.
This question resolves NO if, one month after the final episode's release, no such proof has been found.
Edge cases:
If there are multiple seasons, resolution happens after the final season's final episode
Similarity, e.g. "Caroline dyes her hair red halfway through the show", is not enough if it could reasonably be attributed to something else other than WTC
Namedropping any character from the series is enough, as is showing the name of a character, as long as it clearly refers to that character. (Shia LaBeouf excluded)
References to other related stories (e.g. HPMOR, Project Lawful, Worm, Metropolitan Man) do not count, but will still be appreciated as comments here if you spot them
If Caroline Ellison is shown reading an unknown book while serving her prison sentence, this question has a 30% chance to resolve YES anyway.
