Will I be stranded in Milan in December?

I have a flight from New York to Israel for December 15-16 that connects through Milan. The first flight is with a different airline, but the second is with easyjet from Milan to TLV. Easyjet has said they will resume flights to Israel by December but may put it off again.

Clarification: I will consider myself stranded if I either spend at least one night in the city (outside of the airport) or am stuck in the airport for over 24 hours.

@shankypanky stuck here for the next two days until I can get a flight Monday morning

If easyjet still isn’t flying your route but you fly another airline how does this resolve? What if you don’t take your flight to Milan in the first place for the same reason?

@voodoo already resolved but to retroactively clarify: I count as "stranded" if I'm stuck in Milan for at least 24 hours (so would have settled No if I'd stayed in New York or found an alternative flight today).

@ShakedKoplewitz It seems like easyjet flights are cancelled. Did you buy an alternative flight?

@Shump man if I'd kept better track of this market I could have done so much better. I did get an alternative flight, but I only remembered to check if I had to last minute so the next flight is in two days.

It seems likely that you could get stranded in Israel (if airlines refuse to give you a flight home); I think it may be less likely to get stranded in Milan.

@duck_master the flight is from Milan to Israel. If the flight fails I will be stranded in Milan, not Israel.

Why are you going to Israel???

@JohnSmithb9be I'm starting out in Israel, going to New York and then back.
