Applying for a job at Phil Tetlock's FRI, just hoping to get any of the advertised roles (Research Associate or Analyst, Data Analyst).

I'm 23 finishing a Bachelor's of Business/Math double major. Have a year of full-time experience working in Market Research at a big company in my home (non-US) country but otherwise some odd internships/part-time jobs with not much of a specific forecasting/research background beyond being really interested in Superforecasting, Manifold and sports analytics.

I have to admit I'm lacking confidence in this and based on base rates (don't know anyone in this company, no prior experience, a random resume they're picking out) I'm going to participate in this market trying to guess the correct outcome (despite really wanting the job and hoping I get it! Not insider trading I promise)
