The German ship is part of the EUNAFOR-mission "ASPIDES" to protect trade routs through the red sea from Huthi-Rebels.
So far they shot down two drones and missed an unmarked US-drone. That makes it 2:0, so a good start, I guess?
The German defense ministry checked how long they need to restock the rockets and it turns out that they can't. The suppliers have given up their production capacities long ago. (German source, sorry):
ASPIDES mandate is for one year.
So will "Hessen" run out of rockets before the mission is over?

Hessen returned home earlier this month. Ammo didn't run out since they only had four engagements.

There is a very good German podcast on military stuff I enjoy very much. They have lost a few words on the topic of "Hessens" munition situation:
For what it's worth:
The Hessen needs SM-2 Rockets Version RIM-67D Block III. Newer ones like RIM-156A won't fit. Older Versions will do, though.
@Jono3h Yeah, but we are not in the position to decide how many drones and ships the Huthi send. And now that the cat is out of the bag, perhaps they'll decide to target Hessen specifically, thus depleting their stockpile faster.
