I'd say "Users suggest answers; market creator selects & pays to subsidize" definitely works better for the markets that resolve to a single answer as it avoids near-duplicates. On unlinked markets it works fine as is.

"Users suggest answers; market creator selects & pays to subsidize" sounds reasonable in theory but for large/popular markets they are likely to be flooded with suggestions

I Hope the choice for free response stays, It can be turned off already if people don’t like it. But for options I don’t want to spend mana on, or I’m low on balance, It’s a good option to have.

Market creators getting the chance to approve or reject user-submitted options is something I've wanted for years. It would be even more useful in dependent multi choice markets where you can't just N/A invalid options (see the utter vandalism that took place here)

I don't have a strong opinion about who should provide the liquidity, though. I just want that moderate level of gatekeeping

  • Users suggest answers; market creator selects & author of suggestion pays to subsidize

In option 2, Does Market creator get trader bonus?

I think the best option would be allowing market creator to choose if they want free response or suggestions

@Jack1 could work either way...
