At first it showed me the OS is missing or damaged screen, so I went to another computer and followed the instructions for recovery through USB, because my Chromebook didn’t have to recover through online method.
But when I plugged the usb in to my Chromebook, my Chromebook would just turn off. I tried it a few more times, and I turned the Chromebook on and off a bunch. Then the screen started flashing on with the message “applying a critical update, please do not turn off” and then immediately turning off for a while. I just let it sit there for a while hoping it was fixing itself or something. The next time I checked it, it just wouldn’t turn on and now nothing seems to do anything. When I try to charge it the light doesn’t turn on and it doesn’t seem to do anything. My Chromebook is a little over 3 years old and the model is Lenovo 300e Chromebook 2nd gen MTK The serial number (or maybe model number) is p204xk8wp2n0b960100g
Any help would be greatly appreciated
