I currently think yes based on metaanalyses and low cost. But the science is not definitive.

Cold-eeze looks to be a zinc gluconate thing. The couple sources I've read suggest acetate is preferrable https://www.lifeextension.com/magazine/2014/12/snails-pace though gluconate may still be effective.

predicts YES

Very interested in this, bought a bit of a boost.

Last time that I checked I think that they were effective only very early or even before getting an infection. Would you resolve positive I they are effective as prophylatic?

@egroj I they -> if they

predicts YES

@egroj If “as soon as symptoms start,” yes, that’s my current understanding too. But not as pre-symptom prophylactics.

@Radicalia how about as soon as exposure (asymptomatic period)?

predicts YES

@egroj Yeah I currently think it’s worth taking in that case though it’s not practically significant because I usually don’t know about exposure.
