A recent group meeting discussed if we had any ideas for how we could track engineering project goals better.
Boy, howdy, do I have an idea.
I have scheduled a 1-on-1 to pitch Manifold Markets to my project manager as a way to allow employees to more effectively signal how well projects are coming along. (Maybe I'll even get to discuss futarchy!)
Resolves YES if I see or hear of Manifold being implemented into this job's project management systems within 2 months (before market close). Otherwise, resolves NO.
This market defaults to NO if I do not resolve it within 1 week of close. If I leave the job, and if I had a semblance of headway, I may attempt to contact my coworkers before market close to see if this idea was implemented.
Update 2026-10-02 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): - If a pilot market on a singular goal is performed before the deadline, this market will resolve YES.

I was informed that my contract ended today in a form that I would not characterize as a dishonorable discharge. The company just doesn't need my skillset at this time for the direction they want to go.
I suspect that my chances of hearing of prediction markets being implemented has dropped dramatically.
The crowd is on point to bet down here.
I brought Manifold up in my 1-on-1. My project manager said it was an interesting idea, but he did have some fair pushbacks that might stop it from being implemented deep into governance structures. I believe he will bring up the subject with his higher up and see if the idea is worth exploring further.
There is a small potential for it to be used on a singular goal to pilot test this, but I would not put high hopes on it. If the pilot market is performed before the deadline, I would resolve this market YES.
@Quroe look, it even accurately predicted the outcome of my proposal to adopt Manifold, it's already working!
