in fact imo this should be added to the description of the poll bc it seems pretty central in terms of info needed to vote informedly

@Bayesian I've tried to not lead anyone towards Yes or No. Explaining that this has been happening and is nothing new might lead them to thinking that reducing the rank wasn't "something" and then they vote no. If someone takes life literally they might think the action of reducing rank is "something."
