Will manifold introduce LLM-based spam detection by EOY 2026?

I'm encountering spam almost daily lately and the common feature seems to be that spam bots create default yes/no markets with no attempt at making it an actual market.
It should be easy to ask an LLM if a newly created market is a genuine Y/N market or an attempt to promote a product. It also only needs to be done for markets by new users. I've never encountered old accounts being hacked so far, if it happens - it's low enough volume to deal with manually. Posts flagged by LLM then can be shadowbanned pending mod review. Since Manifold already uses AI a lot - makes sense to do it for spam prevention as well.

The market resolves YES if my proposed solution or any other system that analyses market title+description with LLMs in order to prevent spam is introduced by Dec 31.

I don't think they can afford it

@ChurlishGambit it's cheaper than "market context button" or AI market descriptions and clarifications that are already implemented.

@ProjectVictory Well no, it isn't, because a system like what you propose would have to check everything posted on the site actively. The current slop implementations only are used a fraction of the time.

@ChurlishGambit Creator clarifications are ran whenever creator comments on market (even if no comment added it has to check). AI description can be run whenever anyone makes a market. Market context is generated whenever someone clicks it (it may be cached for some time).
Running an LLM once on market creation only by a new user is way cheaper.

@ProjectVictory ...right, in your comment, you laid out the ways that the current slop systems are utilized far less than a system that checks every single bit of text uploaded. If you only check markets, you'll just miss comment slop. If you only check new users, you'll miss slop posted by old & compromised accounts.

@ChurlishGambit As I mentioned in the description, old accounts aren't much of a problem. Only new users, only market title&description gets 90% of spam.
