Apple typically announces the next generation of their operating systems every year at WWDC, will they do they same for VisionOS this year?
For a positive resolution Apple must announce a significant software update to VisionOS at the WWDC 2024 main keynote that brings version 2.0. A new naming scheme similar to that for macOS would also suffice.

Apple announced watchOS 2 less than 3 months after watchOS 1 debuted. Furthermore, they haven’t added many large features since visionOS 1 last year, but will have certainly had active development on their OS team. Finally, Apple do full version releases every year in sync, even when the core OS doesn’t change much, to update built-in apps. Given that they’ll add AI features to all of their other OSs, this would be enough grounds for a full version bump at WWDC24.
