OpenAI says it was announced at WWDC, for what it’s worth

i got my face ripped off trying to trade this market while watching. i've now bet the farm on "no" because none of that was close to a "partnership announcement" during the main keynote.

@BobSnodgrass Yeah, but this isn’t Sam altman announcing a partnership, he’s referring to the already announced partnership in the keynote

i don't think they keynote included a partnership announcement - what part specifically met the criteria? mentioning chatgpt / showing chatgpt being used doesn't meet the threshold for this market's resolution.

@ChrisPrichard I think everyone can agree the partnership was announced during the keynote, even if the word din't appear.

If someone makes a speech saying "we're having a child!" then it is correct to say "they announced they are having a baby" even if the word "baby" did not appear in the initial statement.

@gramophone yeah but this is more akin to if we were betting on if a couple would announce their engagement and they said "we have now decided to cohabitate"

Might be worth pausing / closing the market before resolution - it's all about "does this count", rather than any details of the keynote.

This market was at 99% a couple hours ago. Do predictions markets still work, y'all?

I highly doubt that if apple were to get into ai they would use openai to do that rather then use a solution by someone else or even develop their own model

@HankyUSA working off more short term investments and also i just discovered this so like right now i dont have much to put on it but in the coming months i will be dumping more into this ideally i will have at least a thousand in once i have some more mana freed up to spend

anyways i bet some more by selling part of one of my investments that is a injoke

@deagol oh thanks then but yeah i just feel apple is far too stubborn to use another companies ai like this is the company that switched from intel and uses their own os on their own hardware lol
