This market shall resolve to Yes in the event that the U.S. Senate passes a qualifying bill to limit the President’s tariff authority, subsequent to the launch of this market on April 29, 2025, and by the End Date listed below.

A bill will be considered to qualify for the purposes of this market if it would subject some or all tariffs that may be imposed by the President to Congressional approval. A bill will be considered to subject tariffs to Congressional approval if it either 1) automatically expires tariffs that are not approved of by an act or resolution of Congress or 2) allows Congress to expire tariffs by resolution.

A qualifying bill does not need to apply to all tariffs. A qualifying bill must seek to narrow or impose a new limit on the scope of the President's legal authority to impose or maintain tariffs. A bill that seeks only to revoke or modify a specific tariff or tariffs but does not narrow or impose a new limit on the scope of the President's legal authority to impose or maintain tariffs will not be a qualifying bill. A bill that both narrows or imposes a new limit on the scope of the President's legal authority to impose or maintain tariffs and seeks to revoke or modify a specific tariff will be a qualifying bill.

For purposes of this market, it is not necessary for an identical qualifying bill to be passed by the House of Representatives.

PredictIt’s decisions and determinations under this rule shall be at PredictIt’s sole discretion and shall be final.
