I found someone posting something similar on the Manifold discord server, did this drop happen right after you took out a loan? Could be a bug. 

So, I had quite a big comment here in the works which I accidentally deleted, but the gist of it was that you’ve lost on a Syrian market around 1060 mana during the last couple of days, and that, like, at least partly explains your confusion here, I guess.

(1060M is a loss during the last couple of days, not your total loss on this market. The total loss is something like 823M, a bit smaller)

 sadly I’m not sure I have time to look at your other recent losses right now (I hope others will help you), but, like, just bear in mind - these numbers:

- while I agree with a -823M number (a total amount you lost on this market), I’m maybe not so sure about the other two red ones, and, like, I did the math and your real actual loss on this market over the last two/two and a half days is -1060M, basically. So, like, I suspect that that’s the case with those red numbers in general - maybe they just don’t work so well right now or something.

 No, I'm aware of the Syrian market, it's near the top of the list I posted of recent losses.

The problem is that the losses don't add up to near 4000 mana.

 It looks like the specific drop almost exactly 24 hours before this moment, was from the partial slate of resolutions on this market:

You have a position in several answers on the market, and your overall set of positions on the market has generated a 'loaned amount' of roughly 140 mana:

For each option that resolved, the system deducted the full 140 mana loan amount from your balance, as if you had a loan of 140 mana on every option. In reality, your loan of 140 mana was split across your positions in numerous different options and each resolution should not have pulled back the full 140 mana.

In short: The resolutions on that market clawed back over 1000 mana out of your balance that you should not have lost. It needs to be fixed! Then your profit will be fixed too.

I have immediately informed the site team about this bug and hopefully they will have it fixed within a few days.  Thank you for bringing it to our attention!

 I figured out the direct cause, but before I share more about what happened, I want to research the actual deeper reasoning why, just in case.

 For 1,000 mana, sure, I'll look into it.

I'm not sure, I looked at your balance log and maybe it's because you spent 2000 to boost a market? Or maybe loans expiring? 

 That's what I thought too, but I can think of no other explanation 

 That shouldn't affect profit- only balance

This seems the most likely explanation to me, it's also around the time when that big drop happens 

 it seems like the vast majority of the loss was in the last day, I checked the 1 day change and the biggest loss you had in 1 day was just -700 from the Syria market, definitely not enough to explain this. 

 But nowhere near -4000 in the last week:
