YI 01 has recently send out a cryptic email explaining that they are suspending their API service due to "ongoing business adjustments". https://x.com/teortaxesTex/status/1825454201880649858
They did not close any funding rund in 2024 until now while relevant domestic Chinese LLM competitors have.
Their close sourced model YI Large lags behind llama 3.1 70B on lmsys arena giving them no product moat on the AI market
This caused some speculation that they might have liquidity issues and face bankruptcy.
Market resolves yes if they file for bankruptcy, are desolved in any other way or get acquired or aquihired in 2024. Basically if YI AI does no longer exist as a legal entity or has no employees in 2025.
