@Eliza it's hard to know what is the baseline for someone from GC crashing/getting sick and DNS or having a very bad day because of that. I generally put that around 2% per week of a grand tour (what do you think?). Someone else on the podium just needed one of those events for Pogi, Dani or G, which was a relatively high probability event. The issue is that it took O'Connor until the first ITT to get to 4th place (he even recognized that he was the dumbest on stage 1), and even then I needed more mountain stages to make sure that he was really the 4th strongest overall. He just ended up 42 seconds ahead of Tiberi which is pretty close, is just one bad day on a mountain away.
