@Domer even as a YES holder, I feel this way as well. If the question was "where will the WC be played" it would be more ambiguous, but I think with regard to "host countries" the wordings are actually pretty clear.
@HenriThunberg @Domer It seems that South America will not be eligible to host a World Cup in 2034, which I interpret as meaning that these games are counted as 'hosting'. All six teams will also be given automatic qualification to the tournament, which I'm quite sure FIFA rules reserve only for 'hosts'. Granted, the language is vague and I have seen references to both six hosts and three hosts in the media, so probably it would have been fairer to accept the three host answer as well.
@Nostradamnedus So the winning bid was Morocco, Spain, and Portugal. Those are also the host nations. This is not how you resolved the market.
@Domer Apologies, I understood the question as asking whether I would wait to see if there are changes in the host countries by the time the games are actually played. So I meant that the declared 'host countries' will be the final resolution (see my other comment).
