Resolution Criteria
This market resolves based on the cards included in the winning deck of the Pokémon TCG World Championship 2025 in the Masters Division. Each answer will resolve YES if that specific card was included in the winning deck (regardless of quantity), NO if it was not included, and N/A if the World Championship does not take place or if results cannot be verified.
Background
The Pokémon TCG World Championship is the highest level of competitive play in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The 2025 championship will feature the best players from around the world competing with decks built from cards legal in the Standard format at that time.
Iron Thorns ex (TWM 77) was part of the winning deck at the 2024 World Championships and is known for its ability to shut off Pokémon abilities, making it a powerful disruptive force.
Iono (PAL 185) is a versatile Supporter card that allows players to shuffle their hand into their deck and draw seven cards, providing consistency and recovery options for various deck strategies.
Recent top-performing archetypes in major tournaments include decks featuring Dragapult ex, Gardevoir, and Archaludon, which could influence the meta leading up to the 2025 World Championship.
Considerations
The Standard format rotation and new set releases between now and the 2025 World Championship will significantly impact which cards are legal and competitively viable. The winning deck will depend on both the metagame at the time of the championship and the specific tech choices made by the winning player to counter expected strategies.
