Surely would be awesome. But I wasn’t able to find any current concrete plans for somethings like this in Europe. Lots of obsolete proposals. But even conventional new highspeed ways take a long time from planning to opening. Britain’s High Speed 2 for example has been planned for more than a decade but is only planned to open in part in 2033. And the current political climate seems more about the environment and increasing capacity than speed. Also maybe notable that the fastest current maglev line in Shanghai does less than 500 km/h in regular operation.
