In the US, the FDA allows for food to be called "not a significant source of trans fat" and marketed as "free of trans fats" if it contains less than 0.5 g of trans fats per serving. Will this specific regulation be updated before end-of-year 2025 to require the inclusion of "Trans Fat - 0g" on the nutrition label of products containing trans fat content ≥0.1g and ≤0.5g per serving?

(there can be a lower threshold for when the label is no longer necessary, but that threshold would need to be ≤0.1g trans fat per serving for this market to pay out)

@mods Hi, I think the market creator becomes inactive, do you mind resolving this market?

@KarlWang in which direction? do you have something to support? thanks!

@KarlWang @shankypanky The modest amount of research I did on Jan 1st before placing my bet convinced me that this should resolve NO (hence my bet), but I may have missed something. Probably ok to resolve NO given no-one has presented evidence to the contrary nor betted YES

@Jasonb I did a quick search and didn't see anything that stood out for a Yes, so I've resolved No. if anyone comes with alternative evidence we can re-resolve but seems like the right outcome.

@NevinWetherill Hi do you mind resolving this market?
