Context:

Two weeks ago I started a casual low level job at one of Australia's major grocery chains. That first week I worked 4 shifts and the following Tuesday got paid for 3 of them, I asked my manager about why I hadn't gotten paid for one the shifts I worked and they said that it was a mistake and that they'd fix it.

Last Sunday I double checked with my manager that I was going to get paid for the 5 shifts I'd worked that week, plus the previous shift I hadn't been paid for - to which they responded "yes, you should hopefully" (a confidence inspiring response I'm sure you'll agree 😉).

And then two days ago (Tuesday) I checked my payslip to find I'd been paid for just a single shift - and somehow it wasn't even a shift I worked? I informed my manager and after half an hour of back and forth they sent an email to their superior (or to tech support or something, not actually sure) with all the details so that they can fix it.

Resolution criteria:

This market resolves YES if by next Wednesday I've been paid for ALL of the hours I'm supposed to get paid for (i.e. all the shifts I was supposed to be paid for already but haven't, plus the shifts I'm working this week).

If I haven't gotten paid properly by Wednesday night, resolves NO

Clarifications:

If I'm somehow paid more than I'm owed, this still resolve YES

If I get paid for a Monday instead of a Tuesday or something but it would have been the same pay either way, this still resolves YES

If I get paid for a Monday instead of a Sunday or something (i.e. base rate instead of Sunday rate), this resolves NO

(Put more simply if I get paid ≥ the $ owed this resolves YES; otherwise NO)

Additional note:

My friends and I were discussing whether or not we thought I'd get paid and so for the fun of it I figured I'd turn it into a market so that you wonderful people can bet on it too 😁
