The official Instagram account for the current US President (Joe Biden) is @potus. As of market creation, it does not appear that this account has signed up for Threads. Will it?
Resolves YES if there is an official Presidential account on Threads which has made at least five posts or replies by the close date. Resolves NO otherwise.
Considerations:
The account must be hosted specifically on Threads. A Presidential account on any other service which is integrated with Threads (such as "fediverse" services) will not count.
In the event that Threads unlinks registration from Instagram accounts and a new Presidential account is created without being explicitly linked to the @potus account on Instagram, that will still count, as long as it's clear that the account is official and under the control of the actual President's staff.

@TP8ac2 The press releases I’ve seen have not distinguished between the nuanced possible cases, and I couldn’t find a threads TOS clause that contemplates an office having an account, rather than an individual or organization.

@TP8ac2 I wish I knew enough about threads verification to say that this must be fake. Very off-brand for Biden to post almost exclusively attacks, and the laser eyes profile pic makes him look evil. This would be the first time I've heard from him and come away with substantial negative feelings about him, but maybe he's got an idiot running his campaign (or maybe this wins elections by targeting people who are not me).

(Even if this were real, I think I'd consider it an account for the Biden re-election campaign, rather than an official account for the office of the President.)

@TP8ac2 Yikes. That's going to make it a lot harder for me to separate 'Democrat politicians' from 'Democrats who post hateful unthinking hot takes on social media'. I guess it was inevitable when the media gave OccupyDemocrats et. al. partial credit for 2020.
