There's been an uptick in dengue cases this year and the season has started earlier than usual. There were around 1.7 million cases by EW 15 this year, up from ~973,000 in 2022 and ~500,000 in 2021.
This question will be resolved using total dengue cases as reported by PAHO (Pan American Health Organization): select Epidemiological Week 15, scroll down to "The Americas" (total), refer to column Total of Dengue Cases (b).
I think these data take a while to settle down as some countries take longer to report. I'll use my discretion as to when the data seem to have leveled out, but at the latest will resolve or void by July 31, 2024.
