'Summit' at least was confirmed to be GPT-5 (but maybe that doesn't fully resolve this, as it looks like some of the speculation was that 'lobster' and some of the other codenames were submodels of GPT-5)

@MingCat @traders I'm pretty surprised we haven't gotten any official confirmation. (So far as I could find, at least!) Would you all rather I resolved N/A or extended the resolution time for a while?

@Muskwalker like, @ing roon or Aidan or someone? I'm not sure they'd want to reveal anything openai hasn't said publicly. I haven't seen any mention of lobster in a while, I can find a trace of it on lmarena myself, so I don't think it's still being served.

@MingCat I was thinking more @ing the lmarena_ai account itself to ask if the info is still being kept private or not, but i guess anyone who would know. obvs if it is still secret then that won't help with resolution, but if it isn't secret anymore and just wasn't announced, then it could.

also yes it looks like a reddit post from end of July does confirm that lobster was removed (...and at the same time as summit and the others, but of course that only suggests openainess rather than gpt-5ness)
