A campaign has submitted a petition to recall San Francisco Supervisor Joel Engardio. This market resolves to YES if the recall qualifies for the ballot. According to the San Francisco Standard, the campaign need 9,911 signatures from voters living in Supervisor District 4 (Outer Sunset).
Other details:
They have 120 days to qualify so this should end by June. If things change I may update the close date.
I'm looking at the first "real" attempt which I believe will begin in January. If this attempt fails but then there's a new attempt to recall, I only care about the first attempt.
If it's obvious that the attempt won't succeed, or the campaign announces they will stop, I will resolve to NO early.
If there are legal issues or complications that affect the recall election, I may wait for the legal challenges to resolve before resolving this question.
