After years in development, Kevin Costner mortgaged his home and secured funding from unknown sources to produce his dream project, a four-film western called "Horizon." The first two films are estimated to cost roughly $100 Million each.
"Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1" will be released on June 28, 2024, followed by Chapter 2 on August 16, 2024.
The market will resolve using the opening weekend domestic numbers for "Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1", as reported by Box Office Mojo on Monday morning.
The domestic weekend totals ("Domestic 2024 Weekend 26") provided by Box Office Mojo will govern. This will include whatever days or previews Box Office Mojo uses to calculate the weekend domestic total.
If Horizon's release date is moved, the market will change to use that new opening weekend. If there is any kind of specialty showing (i.e., Chapters 1 & 2) that weekend, the market will resolve to Box Office Mojo's methodology. If there is any unforeseen issues or any delays in reporting, the market creator will use best judgement to resolve the market.
This market will not resolve as a percentage under any circumstances. No further dollar ranges will be added.
The market creator will not trade in this market.
Kevin Costner’s “Horizon: An American Saga” is officially premiering at the Cannes Film Festival, out of competition. No word yet if both parts 1 and 2 will be screened on the Croisette.
