This will be decided if the following are true:
- Official announcement by Immersed that Visor deliveries have started.
- At least 10 non-employee customers must have posted on Visor discord that they have received their units.
1,000@MichaelWeiner Q1 has ended, and there are no credible reports in the Visor discord of anyone receiving their Frontier Edition order. I believe that this can now resolve to the "2nd quarter or later" option.
Only one month of the quarter remains. I believe it is unlikely the Visor will ship before the quarter ends.
Visor claims this device will use the new Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip (https://xcancel.com/visorxr/status/1742914658280128964). From my research, no other devices using this chip have shipped so far.
More significantly, if they are to ship this quarter, I would expect to see an FCC ID filing by now; since the Visor can be used wirelessly and thus contains radios, it would require one. A cursory search has not revealed any such filing from Immersed Inc. I could have missed it - for instance, it could have been filed under another name, or still be working its way through the FCC's computers - but in combination with other information, I will gladly take these odds.
