Sheng Thao is currently the mayor of Oakland. There is an attempt to recall her, which will be on the ballot this election day. The FBI has raided her home, and it seems likely they suspect her of some sort of corruption in connection with the city's waste management, but she has not afaik been charged with any crimes.
