@Manya I don’t think it’s impossible by any means! I think it’ll be relevant eventually - but picking spells for your clerics is relatively expensive and it honestly might be cheaper in terms of intervention budget to prepare a Breath of Life in that slot instead.

Breath of Life isn't gonna fix it! It'll just prolong the experience. And picking spells is more expensive than letting the clerics choose, but Samora's Iomedae isn't broke and the return on investment is enormous. 50-50 seems about right to me.

And Iomedae has Samora to give her a sitrep so she knows the ROI is enormous. I think the NO case here is just that the authors love medical drama and will be looking for excuses to prolong it.
