I get that there are rumors about a token, but what would the token do? Polymarket is well-capitalized enough that they don't need to share pseudo-equity with users or create a "governance" token like other DeFi protocols. I am also skeptical that Poly wants to create its own oracle solution for resolving markets. Would it just be a memecoin?
I think it's beneficial for Poly to act like they're going to release a token but then never release one. That way hopeful "airdrop farmers" continue manufacturing volume for them in hopes of receiving a token that never comes
