I drive a 2017 Chevy Sonic in a warm dry climate. Has 71k miles as of April 2025. I do about 7k miles a year, mostly in the city. I loosely keep up with scheduled maintenance. Resolves based on the mileage when it will no longer be economically viable to drive or repair this car. If I sell the car while it's still viable, unmet milestones will resolve N/A. I will not bet in this market.
Update 2025-07-01 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Due to family advice, the creator has stated they are now hardened in their resolve to drive the car for as long as possible. This may influence their personal judgment on when the car is no longer economically viable to repair.
74k miles now. I think I'm doing about 11k per year.
I had to replace a leaking thermostat housing. For the replacement I ordered a cheap part off Amazon.
There is occasional engine jerking when stopped. I had this problem previously, the mechanic worked on the engine and it was gone, and now it is coming back (but not as bad as it was before).
