With new version, I mean a new edition (like the Legendary, Special or Anniversary Editions) or a new platform* (like the Nintendo Switch in the past) or in a new form (like the VR release in the past). It must be an 'official' release (so by Bethesda).
*I will not count backwards compatibility as a new release though.

Does a tie-in game called Skyrim but that's not a direct port of Skyrim count, such as Skyrim Very Special Edition?

If Switch 2 (or whatever it ends up being called) gets Skyrim with upgraded graphics, but people who already own Skyrim on the first Switch get it for free and you can only play the version with upgraded graphics on the new device, does this market resolve to YES?
