Personally I prefer the current system, I don't want to accidentally send comments. But I also don't think I'm likely to accidentally hit Control and Enter at the same time.

@wasabipesto Thanks for the alert! Here's a finders' fee

Personally, I dislike that feature, I never want to accidentally send an unfinished comment because I was trying to switch between paragraph breaks and line breaks. Particularly when there's no editing or deleting comments.

@MichaelWheatley I'm starting to think that line breaks are unnecessary

  1. There's no extra spacing for paragraph breaks

  2. You can use paragraph breaks within lists:

Just press Enter then Delete to delete the "3." It is still numbered correctly!

  3. All content is either inline (like text, at mentions) or block (like images, embeds). There's no float nonsense that would cause
vs a new
to look different

@Sinclair I'm guessing this was your regression?

@Austin probably, though I only recall disabling shift+enter

predicted YES

@Sinclair oh, that makes me wonder if I am misremembering and this was never a thing

If it wasn't, it would still be quite convenient to have

predicted YES

@LivInTheLookingGlass cmd/ctrl + enter causing submission was definitely a thing I put into comments on purpose, and I miss it too
