With the publishing of ChatGPT and it's ability to write essays, answer questions, etc. at the very least at the graduate level, it seems likely that people will begin to use it for school work. Will a student be accused and subsequently punished for such an action.

This question will resolve positively if there is a public news report that indicates a student being punished for using AI to complete school work (where they aren't allowed to) at any recognized post-secondary institution.

Will likely need to use some discretion here.

Paper classes were always worthless; basically meant for outside help, test banks, and flattering professors by echoing their views.

Probably a net gain for civilization to move to timed exams anyway.

Frankly I'd be surprised if they're not already using them for papers, so the only real sticking point is whether we can find an article about it. It seems like easy fodder for the news machine, but they still have to hear about it first.

what makes an LLM qualify for this question? does it require you to have created the LLM or only for you to write a mention of it in this market thread?

@L Not sure what you mean. I mean that a student uses an LLM to create their work, when they aren't allowed to and then are punished/reprimanded for it in some capacity.
