
I will resolve this market to YES if I get my money back from the cruise casino before market close. As this market means something to me and it is an interesting one, please share it to get more traders and hence a more accurate description. Here are the details.
Earlier this year I went on a cruise. I purchased gift cards for this cruise at a discount and attempted to cash them out on the cruise casino by adding the cards to my shipboard balance and then charging the slots machines to my room. I charged approximately $2k before I was told that my casino player balance was frozen and I was unable to cash out or charge more. Staff told me I would have to wait until I get off the cruise at which point a check would later be sent to my address for the remaining balance. The website for the cruise line says this can take up to 12 weeks to happen.
Here is where things get dicey. The address that the cruise had on file is one that I have now moved out of. I will be unable to access mail at that address going forward. I attempted to update the address on my profile, but each time I do so either myself or with the help of staff, the address reverts to the old one after a few days. I called them about this and was most recently told to clear my cache and cookies and change the address one more time, as they believe having those in my browser may be causing it to auto-update the address with the old one when I open the page. I did this and will update in a few days whether this worked to change my address on file (more) permanently or not. Note, however, that I am also not sure if changing this address on file now will actually result in my check being sent to the correct address.

The website for the cruise casino specifically has only an email contact form which I've filled out twice. However they state that it may take a long time to hear back. I've also left an angry post-cruise inquiry on the main cruise line website detailing these issues. No responses yet. I have called the cruise line to ask to speak with the actual casino people many times, but have been informed each time that they can only be contacted through the email contact form. The contact form did contain text boxes to type my address; I'm not sure how they will use this.
Addendum:
I will provide periodic updates by updating the description. I will not trade in this market. Please note that I will be actively putting in effort to recover my funds. I have not yet decided on whether I would pursue legal action against the cruise line if I cannot get my funds back, but I cannot rule this out.
Edge cases (to be updated as well, if any come up):
If the cruise line refunds me my balance in the form of gift cards, I will resolve YES as long as I am able to actually access them. If they send gift cards but I am unable to retrieve them, and they refuse to send a replacement set to my new address or are otherwise unresponsive to such requests, I will resolve NO at market close, unless I receive my funds in some other way by then.
