Hello! We have been wanting to set up an automated merch shop for some time now, but are going to start with a more simple process. I still need to decide on the exact company we use and determine the price point, but in the meantime I wanted to run this t-shirt design competition.
Users may submit their designs for the Manifold t-shirt. This can just be an image of what would go on the shirt, or an actual mockup.
The top 3 designs will then be made available to order and this market will resolve proportionally between them based on how many of each design is ordered. I reserve the right to remove a design if I think it is inappropriate/not "manifoldy" enough/only one person bet on it to troll etc. Users may not bet on their own designs other than the initial bet to list them as an answer.
The users who are in the top 3 designs will also have their shirt and its design sent to them for free!
We will be using a print on demand service for these shirts, so the design should be an image that can be printed onto the front (print for the back is optional).
You have until Sunday 5th to submit answers. Then the market will close and I will release the form for people to order shirts.
Oops sorry forgot to resolve this.
The orders were:
Enemel design - 31
SirSalty design - 14
Original design (black) - 13
Original design (white) - 12
Austin design - 8
Before I resolve need to make a few decisions:
1) Should the black and white both count towards the original design, or just the white?
2) The market said that only the top 3 answers would be options therefore based on the description SirSalty's design should probably resolve to 0 even though it received the 2nd most orders.
So rn I'm thinking of resolving as:
Enemel = 31/(31+12+8) * 100 = 60.1%
Original = 12/(31+12+8)100 = 23.5%
Austin = 8/(31+12+8)100 = 15.7%
I believe this stays as most true to the original criteria outlined, even if it doesn't unfortunately punish the good forecasters who guess SirSalty design. But before I resolve lemme know what you think
@DavidChee I disagree, from what was said in the description I assumed there would be only 3 options for shirts, so the fact that there were 5 should change how it resolves
Order your shirt! You only have a few days to do so before I cut off any more orders so we can process then and make sure we update the site to abide by Stripe's policies.

Ok, these will be the options:
(The last design won't be chosen as an answer as it wasn't in the top 3, but I've already designed it so figured I might as well leave it as an option, the market will resolve btwn the ratio of the top 3).
Before I send out the form, does anyone have any adjustments they would like to see to the design? I know Austin thought the fonts could be improved.
Also for Enemel's design, I've decided to just go with the variant without text, but am happy to change it.
@DavidChee No worries, it’ll look good either way. Regarding the text then - I’m a fan of the no-text front logo, but what about the site name on the back across the shoulder blades?
@MichaelWheatley wow I think we would definitely be willing to pay for someone's toddler to wear this it's beautiful 🥲
@Austin Hypothetically, you could make a different shirt for any Manifold market. Inspired by https://wikishirt.org/, kudos to @RachelWeinberg for the idea
@TexanElite oh I missed that one! I'm betting on that one, unless there was a change in the font? I like the current font which was the one that I used for this image
@enemel I like just the logo, or the second one perhaps with a different font (is that the official one?). Not a fan of the third one.
@egroj it's not an official font, it was the first one that kind of fit. Can you maybe describe what you don't like about the third one?
If I had to decide now it would be just the logo. For the second one I would have to find a better font and the third one needs some work, too. But I'd like to wait for some more opinions before committing to one.
