Sept 1 (Reuters) - Disney (DIS.N) and Charter Communications (CHTR.O) traded salvos over their unresolved distribution agreement after channels like ESPN went dark on Thursday for customers of Charter's Spectrum cable service.
Disney pulled ESPN, ABC and other cable channels off Spectrum, which serves giant markets like New York and Los Angeles, in the middle of U.S. Open tennis coverage.
Charter flashed a message on screen that urged viewers to contact Disney.
This market wil require significant judgement. I'll try to choose the company that accepted the worse terms.

@MP Seems that way.
Kind of like Apple giving up $ for Messi since Apple has MLS exclusively.
Also, with the writer/actor strike I think that plays some kind of minor role since Disney has nothing new coming out that wasn't already completed. And since writers/actors want more rights with streaming packages that lets Charter get the better of the deal also in a way.
