The market asks whether any large (over 10'000 inhabitants) European town will have changed its official coat of arms to avoid the depiction of a black person.

The resolution is based on the situation at the end of January 2030: If a coat of arms is modified multiple times, only the final version counts. The market resolves "Yes" if the current depiction of a black person is removed or significantly altered. The market resolves to "No" if all coat of arms stay the same, or if they undergo only minor, graphical changes.

Example with the coat of arm of Coburg: If it is modified to show a less stereotipical head, while maintaining the earring and black color, the market resolves "No". If the earring is removed or the skin color changed, the market resolves "Yes". If there are changes unrelated to a possible debate about racism (for example the background color), the marker resolves "No".

Since the possibilities are endless, I might have to use some personal judgement in the resolution. The spirit of the question is, if something "old" like a coat of arm will be changed because no longer considered acceptable in modern society. I will not bet on this market.

There are many coat of arms depicting black persons. However, this question will be limited to larger towns/municipalities in Europe with a population of over 10'000 inhabitants at the time of the coat of arms change. To my knowledge only the towns of Eching and Coburg respect these criteria. However, if I learn of other places, they will be considered for the market resolution. In general only towns/municipalities count for a "Yes"; however I will consider also Corsica and Sardinia as valid, since they are very prominent examples of political entities with black people in their coat of arms.

What about Corsica and Sardinia? Do they not count, being islands rather than towns?

@Mad You are right, I would consider them as triggering "Yes". I added them in the description.
