This market resolves YES if Naresh Bhatt is found guilty of first-degree murder in the criminal trial concerning the disappearance of Mamta Kafle Bhatt, which began in October 2026.
A conviction may result from a jury verdict or a formal guilty plea to first-degree murder.
The market resolves NO if Bhatt is acquitted of first-degree murder, even if convicted of a lesser homicide offense or other charges. It also resolves NO if the first-degree murder charge is permanently dismissed or withdrawn.
If the trial ends in a mistrial without a definitive disposition of the first-degree murder charge, or if no such disposition has been reached by December 31, 2026, the market resolves N/A.
Resolution will rely on the initial official court outcome.
Subsequent appeals will not change the resolution.
The market is deliberately scheduled to close ahead of the expected verdict, preserving a meaningful forecasting window and reducing trading based on closing arguments, jury deliberations, or potentially revealing late-stage developments.
