@AlexanderTheGreater Yes, but 40 points are still a lot to recover. I get that Verstappen chances are increasing, but being 41% vs Piastri 32% is nonsense. Right now Oscar is still 1st with a discrete advantage. If he suddenly starts delivering good results again the championship will be locked
@BlitzEver I think either of the top three is very much in it now and the market here definitely is too volatile. That said, I could see arguments for a large range of probabilities.
Oscar and Lando clearly have the point advantage. Max has a big lead to close but at this point McLaren's car advantage seems gone and Max might be the most consistent driver of all time. I'm not sure Oscar can get these good results again. I don't think McLaren is gonna bring a new upgrade and Max IMO is the best driver on the grid by a good margin. That said, one car problem for Max and the dream dies unless Oscar has a problem as well. I expect a exciting championship and, weirdly, at the same time mostly boring races.
@AlexanderTheGreater Consider also that many teams are already at the 4th power unit (or other car component). This means that in the next races many will get the grid-penalty due to component changes exceeding the limits.
But yeah, I agree with you, mostly. Especially the last sentenceπ
@BlitzEver interesting! I looked it up and all drivers have used up every single part except extension exhaust which only Yuki has exhausted. https://www.f1-fansite.com/2025-formula-1-season/2025-used-f1-power-unit-elements-gearboxes/
Not sure what that means for the competition though. I assume we'll have a Sprint(?) race where most teams take the hit and it's a wash?
@AlexanderTheGreater You were right, and now he is at the opposite extreme at just 1.5%π, absolute nonsense the odds here
@BlitzEver I don't understand why this market is so bipolar. It has 80 traders as well! Very unusual for Manifold.
