Summary: I will try out gratitude journaling for a period of month, either in the form of writing on paper or chatting with my partner. Will this have a positive, neutral or negative feeling on my overall mood?
Details: I consider two alternatives.
One is a traditional way of listing 3 things one is grateful for (pen and paper). Another option is to chat with one's partner about things one is grateful. I call these options PAPER and CHAT above.
I will randomly choose one of these and do that for 30 days as consistently as I can. I will also take notes of general mood (both quantitative and qualitative), and have already taken notes before starting (control group).
Three of the answer choices will automatically resolve N/A as I pick one of the two options above. Two will resolve NO and one will resolve YES.
As I'm not sure how to make this very rigorous, I'll be resolving the market according to my subjective judgment. I will consider there having been a positive effect if I think this was "worth the effort", quite likely requiring there to be an effect noticeable even without quantitative data. I will consider there having been a negative effect if there are noticeable and not-small cons (in addition to the time spent on journaling) at the level where I would definitely mention them to a friend who considers starting journaling. If neither of these hold, I'll resolve to neutral.
I'm open to suggestions about other ways of journaling and possibly may include them to the market.
I won't bet on this market.

@Loppukilpailija (Though I note that the market isn't very meaningful ATM, as the probabilities should sum to 100% instead of the current 155%)
@Loppukilpailija RIP on my paper=negative bet, which I was (overly) confident about. Time to make them sum to around 100% instead then, I guess
@Dentosal Just to check, when you say "RIP on my bet", do you mean "I would have wanted that market to resolve" or "I lost the mana I bet on that"? The former seems like the natural interpretation to me, but apparently someone lost the mana they bet on N/A markets (which shouldn't happen), so I'm checking whether that happened to you.
