How will this resolve if CPython will have both a GIL mode and a GIL-less mode?
@Lorenzo That is a good point. If there is a GIL-less mode, that accomplishes basically all of the motive for removing the GIL, so I would say resolve to NO. I will update title to include the word "mandatory"
