This market resolves YES if, at 00:00 UTC on 1 January 2026, Andrii Yermak is officially listed as the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine (Chief of Staff) according to the official website of the President of Ukraine and at least one major international news source.
It resolves NO if, before that date, he is removed, replaced, resigns, or otherwise ceases to hold the position, regardless of reason (dismissal, resignation, appointment of a successor, permanent restructuring). Temporary medical leave does NOT count as removal as long as he remains the formal office holder.
Context:
Yermak is one of President Zelensky’s closest advisors, often described as the most influential unelected figure in Ukraine’s wartime government. In late 2025, Ukraine was shaken by a large corruption investigation involving Energoatom and alleged $100M bribery schemes in the energy and nuclear procurement sector.
The scandal led to multiple detentions and the dismissal of Ukraine’s Justice Minister and Energy Minister. Although Yermak has not been formally accused, the political shock has fueled public debate and calls from opposition figures and some analysts for potential restructuring inside the presidential apparatus. Yermak has publicly defended Zelensky and stated that anti-corruption bodies operate independently.
The situation remains fluid and politically sensitive under wartime conditions.
