Resolved
YES

Self-explanatory.

April 18 top combined score for play-in games: 237 points (Heat 123, Hawks 114)
April 19 top combined score for Round 1 games: 235 points (Knicks 123, Pistons 112)

The score MUST reach a total of 250 combined points or more during the first 4 quarters of the game (125-125). If the total combined score of a given game reaches or exceeds 250 during overtime, it will not count towards resolution of this market.

Closes early if resolving YES. If NO, will close at the conclusion of the 2025 NBA postseason.

Tonight's game between the Thunder and Nuggets is at 218 with roughly eight minutes to go. Yikes.

@LBeesley Following this game on gamecast while I was chatting on discord tonight was insane. Final Score: Thunder 149, Nuggets 106. Total points scored in regulation: 255. Resolves YES

May 3 (only game played): 221 pts
May 2 (only game): 222 pts
May 1: 229 pts (Knicks 116, Pistons 113)

Last night during Game 5 of their series, the Rockets and Warriors combined for 247 in regulation! (Final score: 131-116)

Top combined scores since last update:

April 25: 220 (Timberwolves 116, Lakers 104)
April 26: 232 (Thunder 117, Grizzlies 115)
April 27: 232 (Pacers 129, Bucks 103) - This marks the second of three games this postseason where the winning team scored 125+ pts)
April 28: 221 (Cavaliers 138(!), Heat 83)

The day I created the market, the Thunder had the only 125+ pt performance (131-80 win over the Grizzlies)

I might need to tweak this next season and lower the threshold to 240, but I checked the reference page and found that there were 40-50 games during the 2024-2025 season where teams scored a combined 250+ pts in regulation. So maybe I keep it as is. Of the teams remaining, the Nuggets would be the most likely catalyst for this market to resolve YES. They averaged 120.8 ppg while allowing 116.9 ppg, with an average combined score of ~238 where the Nuggets were involved.

April 20: two games tied with total scores of 221
April 21: 207 (Clippers 105, Nuggets 102)
April 22: 238! (Pacers 123, Bucks 115)
April 23: 233 (Cavaliers 121, Heat 112)
April 24: 234 (Knicks 118, Pistons 116)
