Resolved as YES if New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is tied for or holds the league lead in Homeruns (HR) in the American League.
If Judge is traded midseason to a National League team (see Mark McGwire 1997), any homeruns hit for that team will not count towards final total.
Edit to add: I will comment at the end of each month with HR total, rank among league leaders, games played, and any pertinent injury/transactional updates.

So Aaron Judge was reinstated on Friday, July 28, from an injury sustained on June 3. He has been inactive in that time and has not accrued any stats. He also did not play a full game until Saturday, July 29, where he went 3-5 while blasting his 20th HR of the season. Despite missing nearly 2 months, 20 HRs is good for a tie for 5th in the AL.
He now stands 19 homeruns behind the AL leader, Shohei Ohtani.
I’m half-tempted to resolve this prior to the end of the season, but I can’t say what will happen if and or when Judge returns from injury that has sidelined him since June 3. He was at or near the league lead for HR with 19 through basically the first two months of the season, and the current AL/MLB leader, Ohtani-san, has 28 as of 6/27.

So I realize I’ve been slacking on my commitment in OP. Here’s Aaron Judge’s stats through May:
Games played: 47 (of 58 team games)
Homeruns: 18 (AL rank: 1st) (MLB rank: 2nd)
Injury report: Judge left a game vs Texas Rangers on 4/27/2023, at the time unknown. Revealed to be a hip injury, Judge was placed on the 10-day IL. He would return May 9 and has remained in the starting lineup since with the occasional rest day.
