To resolve YES:

  • player must meet minimum plate appearance requirements (502+)

  • Final on-base plus slugging percentage must be 0.9995 or higher (will round up below the 1.000 threshold)

  • At least one hitter to meet these requirements from both the American League (AL) and National League (NL)

Additional notes:

  • midseason interleague trade: a player who meets the minimum plate appearance requirement for the full season but does not meet the minimum requirement in either league (300 PA in AL, 250 PA in NL) will NOT qualify to resolve this question YES. Example: see Mark McGwire 1997, hitting 34 HR for the Oakland Athletics, 24 HR for the St. Louis Cardinals. He led the Major Leagues in HR with 58 overall, but the total was split between the AL and NL, therefore the home run leaders recognized were Ken Griffey Jr for the AL (56) and Larry Walker for the NL (49).

  • Regular season only. No spring training nor postseason totals will factor in to calculating the resolution for this market.
