Self-explanatory. I might add a team-specific market when the season starts, but I am burning through some sweepcash winnings to create these. Fun times!
Update 8/15:
The Pirates have improved and moved themselves out of the projected 100-loss teams, with, as the market currently reflects, two teams projected to finish with more than 100 losses.
If you've followed baseball for the past couple of seasons, you can call them "the usual suspects."
Chicago White Sox, projected final record of 59-103
Colorado Rockies, projected final record of 43-119 (separate market has them at ~42.5, which is why I mentioned there they could finish with a 42-120 record. Decided to be optimistic here)
Currently projected 100-loss teams based on records through May 3, 2025:
All calculations assumed the current won-loss record is maintained through 162 games, rounded down for fractional totals.
Colorado Rockies (29-133)
Chicago White Sox (44-118)
Pittsburgh Pirates (57-105)
Four additional teams are either 14-20 or 13-19, reflecting a roughly ~.410 WP. Those teams are currently projected to finish 66-96.
@LBeesley feels like the Rockies are definitely on their way, especially given the NL West schedule ahead. White Sox are very likely, but not a sure thing. Their run differential is not horrible. I don’t see the Pirates losing 100, barring injury (ie Skenes). Someone else could go on a slide but right now I’m seeing 2 teams as by far the most likely outcome. Long season ahead though.
